Chiropractic adjustments are specialized techniques designed to restore proper movement to the joints of the spine and extremities. When joints become restricted or misaligned, they can create pain, muscle tension, inflammation, and limited mobility. Adjustments help improve joint function, reduce nerve irritation, and support better overall movement patterns.

Your treatment plan may include one or more adjustment styles depending on your condition, your comfort level, and what's clinically appropriate. Below is an overview of the techniques we use and how each one helps.

Three techniques. One goal: better movement.

Diversified Manual

The most widely recognized form of chiropractic care. A precise manual thrust restores motion to a restricted joint. Patients often experience immediate improvements in mobility, reduced muscle guarding, and relief from localized pain.

Best for: joint stiffness, misalignment, muscle tightness, and mechanical back or neck pain. For patients comfortable with traditional hands‑on adjustments.

Drop‑Table Technique

A lower‑force method that uses a specialized table with sections that gently lift and then drop a short distance during the adjustment. The dropping motion assists the adjustment and reduces the manual pressure needed.

Best for: patients who prefer a gentler approach or don't tolerate fully manual adjustments well. Comfortable, controlled, and effective.

Activator Method

A low‑force technique that uses a small handheld instrument to deliver a quick, precise mechanical impulse to the targeted joint or soft tissue. The speed and accuracy make the adjustment comfortable and highly efficient.

Best for: older adults, children, and patients with sensitive or inflamed tissues. Anyone who prefers a very gentle approach.

Why this matters

Healthy joint motion is essential for proper nerve function, muscle balance, posture, and overall mobility. When joints lose their normal movement, surrounding tissues become stressed and discomfort develops over time. Adjustments correct these dysfunctions and help the body move and function more effectively.

By offering a variety of adjustment styles, we make sure each patient gets care that's safe, comfortable, and tailored to who they are. Whether you need a traditional manual adjustment or prefer a gentler low‑force method, the goal is the same: restore proper movement, reduce pain, and support long‑term spinal health.
